Home of Junior Cricket

Hi guys,
This year our club has made many changes with our newly formed Senior and Junior Committee's working to make our junior cricket more affordable and enjoyable with our Subs dropping considerably across the age groups. Our coaches will all have Level One accreditation while also getting the Senior club more involved to develop the kids not just as cricketers but also as people.

The fees this season will be as follows:Milo Cricket:  To Be Advised - but no discounts apply for multiple family members.Under 11: $50 Under 13, 15 & 17's  First Child - $80; with a Second Child - $120; with a Third Child $150.A child participating in Milo cricket is not counted towards the multi-family discount for the other age groups.
PLEASE NOTE
Due to the huge amount of time I spend every year chasing up some people to pay their fees, the Club has introduced a policy of 'No pay, No Play'.
It is expected, and will be enforced, that all player fees will be paid in full at the Registration Day/s.  The last day for payment will be prior to the first match.

Registration Day
The Registration Day is on Sunday 6th September at Birallee Park, commencing at 10.00am until 12.00pm and the following Wednesday evening starting at 5.
A seperate Registration Day wil be held for the Milo program at a later date.

When do we start?
Milo  :  To Be Advised Under 11 & 13 :  TBA
Under 15 & 17 : TBA

When does training start?
I anticipate training for the Under 13, 15 &17 teams to commence during the second week of the school holidays (commencing 29 September 2009).  Training days are as follows- Under 11's and 17's Tuesday night while the 13's and 15's will be on Wednesday evenings.
Team Numbers
Could all people please indicate ASAP if they, or any other family members, are going to play for Raiders this season.  I need to nominate how many teams we will be entering in the Junior & Milo competitions this season.
Second Hand Cricket Equipment
This season I am trying to encourage anyone who has cricket equipment they no longer use or have grown out of to let me know, and I will have a section in the upcoming newsletter to advertise their gear.  You may want to sell it or donate it, just let me know.  Hopefully, someone else can benefit.  It's better than leaving it lying around gather dust. This is mainly aimed at the younger kids who are coming out of Milo and would be thrilled to get their first set of pads or gloves when they progress up to Under 11's.  Also, for kids who grow out of their bats they can sell them and have something to put towards purchasing a new one.
VOLUNTEERS
Lastly, but MOST importantly, if you can contribute to the running of our Club in any capacity please let me know.  For our Club to continue to grow and be successful on the fieldwe need to establish a Junior Committee.  I don't want to be in this position that I was last season where I was running Junior Training two nights a week, running and coaching the Milo program, Managing, Umpiring & Scoring the Under 13 games and trying to play myself on a Sunday.  I can't, and don't want to, do it all; I just don't have the time. The biggest need is for Team Managers/Coaches & Scorers.  If these positions are filled for all our teams then things tend to run smoothly.Hopefully we can have another good season and I look forward to meeting all past and new players and parents soon.
